Historical personages are one of the most important heritage component, the poet resorted to use them in the formation of his poems, and to express his views on what falls on reality, and the reality of his nation.

Therefore, there were many studies on the presence of such personages in the creativity of poets at different times and regions.

This research focuses on the evocation mechanism of historical personages, and there types in models of contemporary Algerian poetry, especially in the nineties of the twentieth century, which took a distinct specificity of the dramatic events in Algeria at that time, and were reflected in the texts of poets As we try in this article to show the specificity of this historical evocation, and the relationship between the poet (the creator) with his present, and what can understand of the context of these historical figures, for good reading of reality, and the future
