Abstract EN

The current oil crisis caused by the collapse of oil prices from mid-2014 has many effects on the economies of the world.

for importing countries, this crisis allowed the increase in the growth rate, because of the reduction of fuel and related-products prices, and converting the surplus from this reduction to increase consumption of other commodities; this was contributed to the recovery of its economies.

the exporting countries are the most affected because of the significant decline in oil revenues, which caused the registration of a large deficit in public budgets and the decline of exchange reserves and enter the economy in recession, indicating the occurrence of many of financial, social and political problems.

the reality of Algeria does not differ much from these countries, especially in light of short-term measures taken by the government to address this crisis.
