Many developing countries, including Algeria depend on one resource or a limited number of resources as a major source for their income which cause many challenges in case the demand for that resource declines or have its price dropped for many reasons.

this situation requires a transition to economic diversification in order to avoid external crisis and achieve sustainable development.

these countries can follow the successful models of economic diversification of the other countries especially the ones which have similar capacities.
