Abstract EN

In this paper, we will try to draw a model of electrical energy consumption in Algeria, where we consider that this consumption is a function of a number of determinants, the most important are the "pib", population density, electricity prices, and the investment in the electricity sector.

in order to know the degree of influence of each determinant in the electricity consumption in Algeria .

we have reached after the drafting of the model that the determinants of the function of electrical energy consumption in Algeria during the period studied was affiliated to the following parameters according to the degree of influence in a row: the number of population, gross domestic product, the volume of investment in the electricity sector, the price of electricity.

among the most important findings in this research that the electricity consumption function in Algeria adopts a heavy reliance on th determinant of "population" compared to the rest of the studied determinants in the model.
