Abstract EN

The study is concerned with the problem of scientific research in both Bouzareah and Kouba High School for Teachers Education for being the institution that is supposed to contribute in resolving society’s problems in their field of specialization ie: Teachers’ training and preparation for future professional carreer.

The purpose of this study was to reveal the nature of the academic theses, ie: Masters and Doctorate, that have been completed in these schools to determine the extent of their contribution in resolving society’s problems but in the schools’ related field of specialization.

In order to ad dress this problem and due to the nature of the study, mixed approach was adopted and descriptive method was employed.

As the analysis focused only on the written documents it has been used content analysis technique.

The study found a range of results.

Despite the importance of the different topics addressed in these academic theses ie: Master and Doctorate, they do not touch the actual problems society in encountered with, in the field of specialization of these two high schools for teachers’ education.

So it is recommended that more work is needed to develop a sound research policy consistent with the area of specialization in the two schools in order to serve the community by contributing in resolving the related problems.

The starting point of such a project is that future studies should develop research problems that actually challenge the society as pointed out by the reviewed international literature.

That is, the preparation of teachers not only in the field of Didactics as mentioned in but in in all aspects that would prepare efficient teacher in line with the digital age and the requirements of the knowledge society.
