Abstract EN

The study examined the use of the new media, through Facebook social networking sites, to promote awareness of the Algerian youth through civil society organizations, which are considered as social institutions that help protect the individual and society as well as government institutions that are implementing the program.

Especially in light of the increasing traffic accidents in Algeria, by focusing on the importance of the role of these institutions in spreading the culture of awareness and spreading the principle of traffic safety through various awareness messages and awareness programs through various traditional and modern media.

Attract different members of society, especially young people.

The study also aims to find out how civil society organizations use social networking sites to spread traffic awareness, which is one of the most important websites used by young people in their various daily activities.

The study used the descriptive method and was based on the questionnaire.

The questionnaire was distributed to a sample of the members of the civil society institution at the national level
