Abstract EN

This research explores the experience of the place and its denotations in the poetry of Hafeth Ibrahim.

The place is made up of social, psychological and environmental circumstances which influence the personality of the creative poet and is inevitably reflected on his literary creativity.

The relationship between poetry and place has a deep-rooted, multidimensional relationship through which the poet may make the place special.

This study deals with three themes: First of all, the types of places in the poetry of Hafeth Ibrahim, including open place, the closed place, the hostile place, place and poetic image, and neutral place.

Secondly, the various dimensions of the place through the study of political, psychological and social dimensions.

Thirdly, the study analyzes the symbolism and denotations of place, in terms of religious significance as well as natural, geographical, historical and symbolic denotations.
