Abstract EN

This research aims at identifying the role of virtual communities through social networks in changing the cultural and social characteristics of societies, especially in view of the large number of users in this cyberspace, who spend long periods of interaction with other users, who differ in their cultures, identities and religious affiliations, which may lead them to adopt some immoral behaviors, leading to the emergence of many unethical problems such as illegal relationships with females, pornography exposure, and privacy violations, therefore, the researcher recommends the need to coordinate between different institutions of society such as family, school, mosque, associations and the media, in order to educate young people about how to properly use the internet and social networking sites.
