Abstract EN

This critical approach highlights the grammatical structures, similes, syntactic metaphors and technical methods and styles that the Saudi author Laila Al-_ihani used in her text (40 in the Sense of Growing) to express her feelings regards the changes that occur by the age of forty.

The significance of this study relies in its attempt to examine the impact of the awareness of time on the formation of discourse.

It addresses an artistic treatment and a discussion of the philosophical dimensions of the controversial of "awareness" and the problem of "time" and their impact on the discourse of revealing.
