Abstract EN

The Tulip Era of the Ottoman Empire was the name given to the period of Sultan Ahmed III's reign (1703-1730 AD (1115-1143 AH)) with his Prime Minister Ibrahim Basha.

The reason for this name was the great and remarkable interest during that period in growing tulip flowers, which people from different levels of the Ottoman society were fond of, and poets chanted about tulips until there became what is known as Tulip literature.

The aim of this study is to explore the events that the Ottoman Empire has endured during this period from 1718 till 1730 AD, which was known in the Ottoman history by the Tulip Era.
