Abstract EN
The aim of this study was to find out the impact of teaching using e-leaming programs in developing the skill of speaking Arabic among second grade students in Jordan.
To achieve this goal, the semi-experimental method was used.
The study sample consisted of (60) students (from Abu Nuseir Primary School) in Ain Al-Basha Directorate of Education, the sample was randomly divided into experimental and control groups.
The experimental group was taught using e-learning programs while the control group followed the traditional method.
A note card was developed for the skill of speaking to achieve the objectives of the study.
In applying the tool of the study, the means and the standard deviations of the grades of the study were calculated.
The results of the study showed statistically significant differences between the means of the control group and the experimental group in developing the speaking skills of the second grade students due to the teaching method using the e-learning programs.
There are statistically significant differences between the means of the control group and the experimental group in terms of developing the speaking skill (language fluency, the ability to respond to a picture, a skill called memory of familiar things, a skill used in speaking and requires various mental abilities) results were in favour of the experimental group.
Based on the results of the study, it is recommended to activate teaching by using e-learning program in teaching Arabic language for the second grade, because of the positive effect this study has shown in the development of speaking skill.
The study also recommends to conduct similar experimental study to identify the impact of teaching using e-learning programs in the development other students’ skills in other subjects and stages.
