Abstract EN

This study aimed at determining the degree of application of the resource rooms teachers in Jordan for reading strategies of teaching based on results of scientific research, and identifying their attitudes towards scientific research and its practices due to their academic qualifications, training, and years of service • The used approach was descriptive analytical approach.

To achieve the study objectives two questionnaires were prepared, one for measuring the degree of teachers' application of reading teaching strategies.

The second was for measuring the attitudes of teachers towards scientific research.

The study sample consisted of (260) resource rooms teachers • The study results indicated the degree of teachers' application for reading strategies was high.

While their attitudes toward scientific research and its practices were negative.

It also indicated the degree of teachers' application for reading teaching strategies based on scientific evidence and their attitudes towards scientific research differ due to their scientific and training qualifications.

While it dosen't differ with the degree of attitudes due to number of years of service.

The study recommended conducting similar studies with other variables (ex., teacher's geographical area).
