Abstract EN

The Arabic language is facing several Impressions and a serious predicament, that are threatening its status and deteriorate itscompetences in facing globalization’s perils and the moderncommunication’s revolution, that directly cast a shadow over thereality of the Arabic language; the media bears the majorresponsibility for promoting societies’ intellectual and linguisticlevels.

Although Media is almost using the classical Arabic, themodern Media offences Arabic and increase the gap and the stalemate,in which the Arabic Language reverberates.

In addition to the journalists’ linguistic incompetence, the foreign languages takeover promotional spots.

We find that the use of local dialects and even slang has become a fashion, that invade the most of Media channels,which are considered as the closest to the audience.

This situation has created deterioration and reconstruction of a new Media plan,which leads to presenting programs, drama and advertisements in slang rather than classic Arabic.

Nowadays, even dubbing the foreign series is done with local dialects.

So,the exaggeration in using slang has a lot of negatives on Arabic language.

Therefore, it becomes so necessary to deal with this phenomenon’s reasons and understanding all its dimensions and reflections .
