Abstract EN

This study aimed at explaining the impact of Zakat on some economic variables, specifically consumer demand, developmental investment, and unemployment.

The study depended on the analytical descriptive method.

The study main findings indicated the existence of a positive relationship between Zakat and consumer demand; also, the application of Zakat helps in increasing investment through increasing its main source, saving.

Moreover, Zakat may assist in reducing unemployment and increasing employment level.

The study calls for Islamic Countries to give more attention for Zakat; besides allocating an important part in the economic plan for it; as well as educating the population about the importance of Zakat and encourage them to pay it.
