Abstract EN

The aim of the study was to find out the effect between the dimensions of the organizational cynicism represented by (sarcastic belief, sarcastic behavior, and emotional satire) and social capital through determining its three dimensions (trust, cooperation, and commitment) in Iraqi banks.

The study sample consisted of (315) employees, while the total number of employees amounted to (1794) constituting 83% of the total number of sample members as a whole.

The number of distributed questionnaires reached (315), while only (280) of them were retrieved.

The study main findings indicated the existence of a direct relationship between the dimensions of organizational cynicism on the dimensions of social capital in all samples of the study, which indicated the lack of confidence between the staff and their bosses in the work place; as well as the lack of cooperation and feeling of frustration among employees.

The study recommended the adoption of the principle of putting the right man in the right place to create a state of motivation for the staff to conduct that qualify them to reach senior position.
