Abstract EN

This study aims at exploring the development of Women's dress in Sudan as inspired by Merowetic civilization heritage, it also reflects the authenticity, values, and Sudanese identity as being symbols and elements of Merowetic civilization that have high aesthetic values as well as demonstrating the innovative and ideological features.

The study also tries to examine technical art and decorative approaches used in Merowetic art that have inspired the artist in designing innovative dresses.

The researcher has depended in data collection on the field visits, personal interviews and a number of references.

The descriptive analytical method has been adopted, aset of models have been chosen that have designed so as to be analysed technically, the study has come up with the following results: Merowetic civilization heritage has been founded to be rich with symbols and elements that can be developed and enhanced the aesthetic values that are needed for designing Women's dresses which affirms the authenticity and Sudanese identify.
