Abstract EN

The study aimed to clarifying the role of accreditation in enhancing the laboratories efficiency in Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization (SSMO).

In this study, the descriptive method was fallowed, The researcher used the questionnaire as a study tool, The population of the study consulted (SSMO ) employees in accredited labs The results was: Accreditation has a role in enhancing laboratory efficiency.

The most important recommendations were : Spread the culture of accreditation between laboratories and link the accreditation of laboratories with the government license to protect the customer, , Raising the efficiency of national laboratories to be consistent with international standards, provides the time, effort and money in re-testing in laboratories outside the country and accept the results of national laboratories externally.
