Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to identify the most important forces that influence competitive advantage by presenting the porter model, through which we discussed the case study of the pharmaceutical industry for the pharmaceutical industry because it is one of the companies that have been very strong competition by foreign and local laboratories (alternative medicine) This competition enabled us to achieve the objectives of the study, in which we focused on analyzing the competitive forces of competitive advantage from the five dimensions mentioned in the porter model.

We presented the most important work and strategies adopted by the Sidal Complex in order to achieve competitive advantage.

Na on the survey method in this study.

We collected the data through the use of annual reports, internal publications, and magazines for the Sidal complex, which is in a time series (2010-2016).

We used statistical analysis based on number analysis to test hypothesis validity.

The study reached a number of results, the most important of which is the effect of the porter model on the achievement of competitive advantage in all its five dimensions, where we concluded that the competitive forces have a great impact on achieving the competitive advantage of the complex of pharmaceutical industry in general, and this effect of the dimensions of the five-model analysis of competitive forces, Customer negotiation has had a low impact and this is due to the conditions of customers which are usually clear and represented mainly in (quality, price).

In light of the results, the study presented a number of recommendations, the most important of which is the adoption of the porter model as a mechanism for analyzing competitive forces and giving each dimension greater analytical value in order to compete with competitors and achieve a competitive advantage, especially that the compound is active in the market of dangerous drugs imposed by the intensity of competition is strong and very strong.
