Abstract EN

The study followed the descriptive statistical approach, describing the conditions of the outputs of the educational system in Egypt and Saudi Arabia during the period 2000-2017, as well as characterizing the absorptive capacity of the labor market in both countries.

The study confirmed that there were large increases in the number of graduates of the educational system in both countries, Preparing for the demands of the labor market, posing a major challenge to reformulate the policies of the education system and the labor market and to create a degree of proportionality and harmony between them so as not to worsen unemployment rates.

The study also confirmed the high rate of female unemployment compared to males in both countries.

The study followed the applied statistical method by constructing standard models to estimate the relationship between expenditure on education and GDP in both countries in an attempt to measure the return on education in both countries during the period 2000-2017.

The results of the standard models confirmed a strong correlation between the two variables Indicates the positive effect of spending on education in increasing GDP, considering that the estimated increase is the return of education on both countries.
