Abstract EN

This Study investigates the changes of syllable which resulted from the conjugation of Arabic verb from the contemporary viewpoint according to the phonological analysis method which, unlike the traditional method for phonological analysis, analyzes the syllable into two components.

The study aims at analyzing the syllable structure to discover the changes of the syllables caused by the verb conjugation.

It aims at identifying the relation between the phonological and morphological changes and determining which one is following the other.

It has concluded that the syllable changes in Arabic because of the morphological changes has not its own phonological rules, rather they follow the morphological changes.

i.e.

the phonological changes follow the morphological ones.

In addition, It has concluded that the phonological analysis does not differentiate between many different morphological changes.
