Abstract EN
The present study aims to reveal the relationship between the emotional intelligence and the motivation for achievement among the students who have passed the Baccalaureate exam and the effect of gender, specialization and emotional intelligence level on the motivation for achievement.
The appropriate descriptive approach was adopted for this study.
150 students were randomly selected in a limited class of some secondary schools of Touggourt during 2017-2018.
Two data collection tools were used: a tool for measuring emotional intelligence and a tool for measuring motivation for achievement determined by the students.
The result revealed that there was a difference between the emotional intelligence and the motivation for achievement among the students who received the Baccalaureate degree.
It was also found that there were no differences in the motivation for achievement between the sexes according to their levels of emotional intelligence pertaining to the interaction between them.
Additionally, it was found that there was no difference between scientific and arts disciplines.
