Abstract EN

The travel story is one of the oldest Arabic literary genre and it is one of the arts of narration.

It relies on the pronoun "I" and the “ego” notion with the openness to the other, which attracts the readers.

The author of a travel story depicts the historical sites, the customs and the traditions of people through his trips and journeys in addition to the events he witnessed and the experiences he went through.

The Algerian travel story literary genre is a part of the general Arabic travel story literature though it has not yet been enough explored.

Moreover, the Algerian travel stories are still scattered in journals and newspapers and need to be collected and studied.

This motivated me to choose this topic as a subject of research and study in addition to the existence of good material in abundance which competes the Arabic travel story literary genre
