Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the degree of efficiency of some of the educational practices of the faculty members at Jerash University as perceived by students، and its relation with some demographic variables: gender، student GPA، level of study، and the college in which the student studies.

The population of study consisted of )4209( students، )2998 M، and 1211 F(، and the sample of the study consisted of )302( students )192 M، and 110 F(.

To collect data، a questionnaire consisted of )77( items was constructed to measure seven educational practices.

Its :validity and reliability were established.

The study revealed the following results The students evaluated the degree of efficiency of the faculty members as high on two aspects: the faculty’s communication with students outside the classroom، and classroom management، while they rated the degree of the other five aspects as medium.

The results also showed that there were no significant differences between the students’ scores on all of the educational practices attributed to: gender، level of the study، and the college in which the student studies.

The results also showed that there is a positive correlation between students’ rating of the efficiency of the educational practices of the faculty members on two aspects: the faculty’s communication with students outside the classroom، and classroom interaction and discussion.

In the light of the study، the researchers introduced :some recommendations among which are Encouraging and motivating faculty members through financial and morale rewards، conducting in-service training sessions in different subjects such as diversification of methods of teaching، classroom activities and assignments and motivating students.
