The narration in the stories of a collection "Hkayat min Fadlullah Osman" provides a detailed description of the daily life of a large number of residents of Fadlullah Osman Street in Imbaba.

The narrator presents these daily lives in a way that does not have strong imagination or exaggerated emotions.

The study is based on two central hypotheses: First, the "paradox" penetrates the stories, so that it does not exercise its influence through its verbal energies or its semantic amplifiers, but through its regularity as a rhetorical strategy that derives its effectiveness from its frequency and dominance over the narratives.

The second hypothesis is that we cannot understand the mechanisms of the operation of the paradox and its effects - without approaching their achievements in the levels of text as produced by the text itself, from breeding in their positions and images, and understanding the relationships and possible interactions between them.

The objective of the study will be to examine some aspects of the achievement of the strategy of the paradox in the context of its distribution to different narratives, which will focus on three of them, in addition to analyzing their functional dimensions.
