Abstract EN

An efficient Cs2CO3-promoted synthesis of acylated p-terphenyls from allylic ketones under mild conditions has been developed.

The reaction occurred in moderate to good yields and tolerated c-aryl substituted allylic aryl ketones containing functionalities such as alkanes, ethers and halogens.
