Abstract EN

This paper proposes a robust multilevel DC/DC converter for photovoltaic installation using a specific MPPT control that ensures the optimal operation of the system.

The multilevel PV architecture consists of using a DC/DC converter with each level in the PV system, controlled by their owns MPPT controller to provide independently the maximum of energy in all weather conditions.

The experimental results present a comparative study between the classical and the two-level PV architecture, using the MPPT algorithm implemented on a microcontroller that provides PWM signals to control the power switches of the PV system.

The proposed system shows an enhancement of the energy efficiency, and good functioning of control system during the whole PV system operation.
