Abstract EN

The aim of the study was to identify the level of using social media and social competence of juvenile delinquents as well as their contribution to the interpretation of delinquent thinking.

The study sample consisted of (62) delinquent juvenile in Aljawf area at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

For the purposes of the current study, the researchers developed the measures of social media use, social competence, and delinquent thinking of juvenile delinquents.

The results of the study showed that the level of using of social media was average, social competence was low, and delinquent thinking was average.

The results also showed that the social media interpreted (0.51) of the explained variance of delinquent thinking among juvenile delinquents.

The study recommends that researchers and specialists design and develop guidance programs for juvenile delinquents aimed at improving social efficiency and reducing misuse of social media
