Abstract EN

This study aimed at discovering some misconceptions about marriage, the effect of some variable on misconceptions about marriage, The study sample consisted of (140) wives from Amman selected through available sampling, As well as the researcher develop misconceptions about marriage scale which consisted of (43) Items.

The study results discovered that there are many misconceptions about marriage among wives such as: the faith of achieving all marriage goals, the husband should achieve marriage happiness, there is an optimal solution for any marriage problem, avoiding marriage problems, the circumstances identifying happiness or misery, and all what person hope will achieved, as well as the results discovered that there are differences in misconceptions about marriage attributed to scientific qualifications in favor to bachelor, and there is no differences in misconceptions about marriage attributed to years of marriage.

And there is weak positive relationship between misconceptions about marriage.

the study recommended to conduct workshop training for wives to correct misconceptions about marriage
