Abstract EN

Classroom practices reveal that many learners have great difficulties in understanding and analyzing literary texts.

These latter’s are mainly due to the low conceptual stock of students, confusion of concepts, the confusion of its formation in its cognitive structures, and they are not absorbed in a systematic and precise way.

Concept maps are among the latest techniques that enable learners to overcome these difficulties.

They develop their cognitive skills, increase their comprehension, memorization skills, develop their mental skills and their interest in learning.

This article attempts to demonstrate the importance of these maps in the organization of concepts in the cognitive structure of learners, allow them to understand the text, the development of the school experience and to double the effectiveness of the learning process.
