Corruption is an old phenomenon.

While the phenomenon is intensified in modern societies, because of the complexity of the political, economic and social spheres of life, governments and societies have reduced it in many ways, ranging from determining the most vulnerable areas to corruption, and then putting in place appropriate legal tools to reduce it.

Whether preventative or dissuasive.

In this article, we try to address the phenomenon of corruption in Algeria, then we focus on corruption in a most vulnerable area, it is the field of public procurement, and determine the legal tools set up by the Algerian legislator to reduce corruption, whether preventive or dissuasive.

We concluded that the Algerian legislator was able to put in place, as a preventive measure, measures guaranteeing the integrity of public procurement procedures, with some shortcomings in the application of these measures, while on the dissuasive side, it is difficult to limit the behavior leading to corruption, due to the evolution of these behaviors
