Paragangliomas are rare tumors of the neural crest.
they are hyper vascular and usually benign.
we will detail the clinical and paraclinical characteristics of the paragangliomas of the head and neck and study their therapeutic management.
we present a retrospective study of 4 patients operated with a paraganglioma of the head and neck, collected in the ent service of sfax between 2000 and 2016.
it was a tympanic paraganglioma, a jugular eardrum and two carotid paragangliomas.
the imaging has evoked the diagnosis and has specified the extension of the tumor and its relationship with the noble structures.
the treatment was surgical in all cases and evolution was marked by nervous paralysis in one case and by the persistence of tinnitus in another case.
conclusion: with the progression of the means of diagnostic investigation, the cervico-facial paragangliomas are the object of a better therapeutic approach.

Les paragangliomes sont des tumeurs rares dérivées de la crête neurale.
ils sont très vascularisés et souvent bénignes.
l’objectif de notre étude est de détailler les caractéristiques diagnostiques des paragangliomes de la tête et du cou et étudier leur prise en charge thérapeutique.
nous présentons une étude rétrospective de 4 patients opérés d’un paragangliome de la tête et du cou entre 2000 et 2016.
il s’agissait d’un paragangliome tympanique, un tympano-jugulaire et deux paragangliomes carotidiens.
l’imagerie a évoqué le diagnostic et a précisé l’extension de la tumeur et ses rapports avec les structures nobles.
le traitement était chirurgical dans tous les cas et l’évolution était marquée par une paralysie nerveuse dans un cas et par la persistance des acouphènes dans un autre cas.
avec la progression des moyens d’investigation diagnostique, les paragangliomes cervico-faciaux font l’objet d’une meilleure approche thérapeutique.
