In situ simulation (ISS) is the organization of simulation training sessions in the work environment of the trainees.
it is less expensive than classic simulation.
it improves the management of crisis situations and the identification of blocking situations.
however, simulated drugs could be later confused with real drugs.
the sis requires the release of the team to ensure the effective establishment of the procedure.
it has to be without hindering the care of real patients.
this method relies on heavy logistics of storing and transporting equipment.
distractions in the work places may disturb the trainees and disrupt their attention.
in addition, ISS may intimidate staff with patients and their families.
some trainees do not accept to be video recorded.
ISS therefore seems to be an interesting educational method for training staff and patient safety; it is not intended to replace simulation in a simulation center but to complete it.

La simulation in situ (SIS) est l'organisation de séances de simulation dans l'environnement de travail de l'équipe formée.
elle est moins coûteuse que la simulation classique.
elle développe les capacités du personnel à réagir en situation critique, permet l’évaluation du matériel et améliore la communication.
cependant, les drogues simulées pourraient être confondues avec de vrais médicaments.
la sis nécessite la libération de l’équipe afin d’assurer la séance.
elle utilise une logistique lourde de stockage et de transport du matériel.
la présence de distractions dans les lieux de travail risque de déranger les apprenants.
elle peut constituer une intimidation du personnel vis à vis des patients et leurs familles.
parfois, les apprenants acceptent mal d'être enregistrés.
la sis est une méthode intéressante pour la formation du personnel et la sécurité des patients.
elle ne vise pas à remplacer la simulation dans un centre de simulation mais la compléter.
