Abstract EN

This research deals with the similarity between Imam Ali and the Prophets( P.U.th) that tIhe poet Al- Mofajj'a Al-Basry had set in his poem Al-Ashbah, exhibiting most of mam Ali attributes, the similarity aspects between him and the prophets, connecting the events of Imam Ali life with the event of the prophets lives.

The poet supported the text significances by depending on the Qur'anic verses and the prophetic traditions in order to prove Imam Ali attitudes, wisdom and devotion to establish the bases of Islam as well as the human coexistence, showing the great similarity.

The poet referred to the similarity since the birth of Imam Ali ( P.U.th) to his martyrdom.

He started with the similarity between Imam Ali and prophet Adam(P.U.th) and ended with the similarity with prophet Mohammed ( P.U.H).

The research reveals the poet interest on the cohesion and coherence via connecting the different similarity aspects in the light of the prophetic hadith which is known as Al- Ashbah hadith so as to enlarge the image and indicates his superiority.
