The Baghdadi and damascene families played a big role in teaching women different types of sciences particularity the transcript sciences (the science of copying ancient Islamic scripts).

all members of the family especially the father, grandfather, uncle and the husband took a noticeable part in teaching their girls or women.

this research tackled the role of the Baghdadi and damascene families as well as shedding the light on how women in the sixth and seventh century of Hijra received their education.
