Abstract EN

The present study investigates the impact of Post and Brennan strategy in Teaching Animal Physiology in developing Mind Habits and the 21st Century Skills for biology students.

The study sample consisted of (56) male and female biology students, Faculty of Education for Pure Sciences Al Muthanna University, who have studied subjects in Animal Physiology in the first semester, academic year 2016-2017.

The tools of the study included both the scale of Mind Habits, which was limited to measuring the habits of (Persisting , Managing Impulsivity , Striving for Accuracy and Precision , Thinking about Thinking ); and also a scale for the21st Century Skills of (Communication and interpersonal skills, Decision Making and Solve Problems, Academic Skills ) .

Both scales were pre- and post- applied on the study group.

The study conclude ed the following: 1.The existence of statistical significance in differences (at the level of significance ( 0.05) between the average of both pre-performance and post-performance in the experimental group in the Mind Habits scale in favour of the experimental group performance.

2.The existence of statistical significance in differences (at the level of significance ( 0.05) between the average of both pre-performance and post-performance in the experimental group in relation to the 21st Century Skills scale in favour of the experimental group performance.

Also, the study concluded at some recommendations and suggestions.
