The emotional loneliness is an uncomfortable state in the individual, which contradicts human nature, which in turn is a social entity that achieves its psychological and social development with the group to which he belongs.

The emotional loneliness expresses the state of non-satisfaction of the individual's emotional need.

The causes of emotional loneliness were attributed to social and psychological variables and the researcher in his research attempts to explore the relationship of emotional loneliness towards the perfectionism of the significance of this variable in personality.

The current research aims to identify the emotional loneliness of the university students and the differences in accordance with the variables of sex and specialization, and to identify the perfectionism among university students according to the variables of sex and specialization and the relationship between the two variables.

In order to achieve the goals of the research, a sample of (200) male and female students was selected from the university students, and Al-Rubeiai scale of the emotional loneliness and the Frost scale were applied to perfectionism.

After the implementation of the statistical methods, the results showed that the students of the university are not characterized by emotional loneliness and not perfectionism in general and there were differences according to the variables of sex and specialization in both variables, and showed a relationship between the dimensions of perfectionism and emotional loneliness of compassion, and in light of the results achieved, the researcher recommended a number of recommendations and proposals.
