Muhsin Utaimish is considered as a leading critic in implementing the approach (artistic – transitory) as we have termed.

It is as area between the artistic and the stylistic approaches as it is characterized by a distinguished stylistic awareness of the artistic phenomena in the poems and then historically tracing their development within the various poets experiences.

In addition, the critic depends on a critical view of the poems which enables him to understand them in a deep and accurate way.

Furthermore, the critic is characterized by a leading poetic awareness.

This is due to his talent in poetry and experience which have matured across time as a result of his exposure to the arab as well as translated poetry.

This is in addition to his following the up to date artistic and stylistic changes in the various international artistic and stylistic movements and the new and modern poetry that has been published.
