Abstract EN

This research highlights the importance of computerized information systems in terms of data management and organization in compartment with classic methods of data processing for the dataset of thesis and dissertations in mass communication college- Baghdad University.

The research considers two main variables (information systems as independent variable and researchers trends.

An experiment was performed by developing a database system to manage and store the information of dissertations and thesis.

The, we applied the descriptive- analytical context as a questionnaire which has been distributed to a number of researchers and staff in mass communication college.

The sample was composed of (30) people.

We also utilized the statistical tools to test research hypothesis.

The results showed that there is a significant impact for the information systems on researchers’ trends.

Also, information systems contributes positively in reducing time and efforts searching for a scientific resources.

Eventually, the research recommends paying attention for employing information systems in different aspects and divisions in the ministry of higher education and, get all the benefits for such valuable trend.
