Abstract EN

The scientific term is considered the most important issue.

It was and still is the core topic on which many conferences and national seminars are held in different parts of the world to discuss what characterizes it mostly as regards its shape, structure, and the different linguistics phenomena related to it in general and in science in particular.

With the importance given to it, our research, for this reason, was concerned with a very sensitive issue which is the variation in the use of the scientific term between textbooks and the specialized Arabic dictionary where we tried to investigate both sources.

The reason maybe behind choosing this linguistic phenomenon in science is due to the danger it evokes especially when the issue is related to medical science where the dangerous results of a linguistic error are unexpected.
