The study dis cusses the poem "The Mirror Song" to investigate the language of the poet (Ali Jaafar Al-Aalaq), which attracts the reader towards its carefully crafted artistic composition, which is aware of the characteristics of language and the poetic methods of critical awareness.

literary work is questioned in order to reveal the implied semantic content behind it's ambiguous language, up to the absent text.

Reading using the (key words) method helps to trace the most stylistic features.

Three words (mirror, body, time) were assigned, representing important keys to access to the world of the poem.
