Abstract EN

Political borders of countries in general and Iraqi – Syrian borders issue in particular in an important element of stability and security for both countries Thus, we see the attention given by British and French occupation authorities for drawing borders of the countries under their control.

One of which is the drawing of Iraqi Syrian borders after First World War and its consequent meetings and agreements between both sides to stable their borders.

Given this information, this research tackles the issue of Iraqi – Syrian borders 1919-2000.

In the first part we defined borders and Iraqi – Syrian borders.

In the second we talked about the stages of drawing Iraqi – Syrian borders.
