Abstract EN

The study aims to discuss form of the Iraqi state after 2003, and its relationship with identity, Through discussion of the nation state and the sovereignty of one identity or a multi-national state.

The issue of Iraqi identity has become a focal point in the Iraqi debate after 2003, when the nation state ended, and the emergence of groups identities.

The questions that the research seeks to answer, the following: Does the Iraqi state return to the pre-2003 model of the nation state? or according to the model of the multi-national state as after 2003? these questions are the starting point of this study.

In conclusion, that in Iraq after 2003, constitutionally declared the end of the nation state but its culture is still prevalent.
