Abstract EN

This study aimed to find out about points of view of parents of students with intellectual disability about quality of services provided to students with intellectual disability.

To achieve this goal, the researcher used a questionnaire with (157) of parents of students with intellectual disability.

The study instrument consisted of two parts: the first part contained (3) elements which elicit information about parents of students with intellectual disability.

The second part consisted of (31) statements divided into three domains: student's services, school/ institute services and parent's services.

The study found that most participants in the study hold positive attitudes towards services provided at intellectual disability institutes and programs in all the study domains.

The study also revealed that their response was higher in the domain of parents than the other two domains.

The study revealed that there were no statistically significant differences in the participants responses about the domain of evaluating school/ institute.

There are statistically significant differences in the participants responses about the domains of student and parent according to the variable of (type of program).

For the variables of age and number of years which the child spent in the program, results revealed no statistically significant differences in all domains of the study (student's services, school/ institute services and parent's services).

Results refer to the importance of quality of services provided at intellectual disability institutes and programs in supporting students with intellectual disability.
