Abstract EN

This study is designed for the purpose of estimation of the irisin and many biochemical parameters in patients with diabetes mellitus type2.In this study, (100) blood samples are collected from people living in Kirkuk and these samples are divided into two groups.

The first group includes (70) samples of diabetic males and females while the second group includes (30) samples of healthy people obtained as a control group whose ages range from (25-65) years old.

The experiment was conducted between January 2016 and March 2017.

In the study, the concentrations of insulin and irisin hormones, the glucose, the triglyceriedes, the cholesterol, the HDL-C, the LDL-C, the VLDL-C, the total protein, the creatinine, the creatine kinase enzyme, the glutathion and the malondialdeyhyde are evaluated The study comes up with the following results, There is a increase significant (P≤0.05) in the concentrations of the irisin, the insulin , the glucose , the triglyceriedes, the LDL-C, the VLDL-C, the cholesterol, the creatinine, the creatine kinase, the malondialdeyhyde and a decrease significant (P≤0.05) in the concentrations of the glutathion , the HDL-C.

Besides, there is no significant difference (P≤0.05) in the concentration of the total protein in the diabetic group as compared with the healthy group.

As for the relation between the irisin hormone and the other variables , the following results are arrived at There is no relationship between the irisin and all the variables except for the total protein where the relationship is inversive: the more the concentration of the irisin increases, the less the concentration of the total protein in diabetics becomes.

There is no relationship between the irisin and all the other variables except for the creatine kinase enzyme and LDL-C where the relationship is inversive: when the concentration of the irisin increases, the concentration of the enzyme and LDL-C decreases.

Either for the relationship between the irisin and the triglyceriedes and VLDL-C, it is a direct correlation: when the concentration of irisin in healthy samples increases, the concentration of triglyceriedes and VLDL-C increases also.
