Abstract EN

The search aims to document the volume of materials published in the field of oil and chemical engineering between 2010 and2017, identification of reasons for publishing finding the most and least published researchers as appearing in the Journal.

The research methodology used bibliometric analysis of keywords in titles and abstracts to calculate the values in addition to the follow up interviews with the researchers in the Journal issues 2010-2017.

The results of the research are as: 1.

The electronic version of the Journal is available free of charge to all the interested in the field of oil, gas and chemical engineering.

The Journal published 185 research papers in total.

160 papers in English (86.5%).

While 25 papers were published in Arabic (13.5%).

The most frequently repeated main research topic was "Technology" (Applied sciences) and subdivisions most frequently repeated were "mining" with 32 times and "metallurgy" while the most specific topic "petroleum" was 53 times.

The most significant suggestions include: 1.

The Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Oil should utilize the scientific research that is electronically published in the Journal.

Researchersshould be encouraged to document their scientific research efforts, practices and on-site expertise to write and publish applied research electronically.
