Abstract EN

This literature review offers an attempt to syntheticize reading among the literature which argue that IR has been undergoing a shift towards a fifth debate, and the literature which advocate for adopting the concepts and analytical tools (that can be) provided by complexity theory.

It argues that the two types of shifting are simultaneous and mutually-constitutive as well.
