This study attempts to highlight the most important factors sustaining the spread of Islamophobia by focusing on some truths about the role of Western political and media discourse in creating an Islamophobic atmosphere.

We will address herein the feelings of hostility towards all what symbolizes Islam are fueled by Western political and media discourse, therefore, spreading fear and hatred among members of Western societies towards Islam and Muslims; we will address too the ways how to avoid islampohbia by addressing analyzing its motives and backgrounds, and know the most effective ways to respond to and reduce the frequency of its proliferation, as well as the warning of what may have serious consequences for the escalation of anti-islam movements, thus emphasizing the need to give priority to dialogue over conflict
