Abstract EN

The Arab region was always a field of interest of great powers in the world, since the beginning of colonialism and the disintegration of the Ottoman Empire, and this interest was translated at every stage in the shape that fits with the objectives of these powers.

Since the beginning of nineties of twentieth century, Western strategies has taken towards the Arab region a distinctive character, resulting from a major transformations in the world, which has imposed on many of the Arab regimes to pursue political reforms and political pluralism, but it must be recalled here that the study is not concerned with analysis of transition models in those countries, but will address the international factors and influences and its role in the transition process.
