Abstract EN

The translations of Tharwat okasha of Khalil Gibran's English books can be considered the best translations that have been published until now.

By his fluent and smooth writing style, he translated these books into Arabic in accordance with the style of Gibran's Arabic works.

Despite of its accuracy and literary beauties, some mismatches are detected.

In this article, the translation of "Jesus the son of man" has been chosen, analysed and compared with the source text.

Some instances have been extracted and discussed from three different aspects.

First addition of unnecessary elements, second oblique translation, and third the translation errors.

The results indicate the areas where there is a need for revision in both style and accuracy.
