The medical certificate of the cause of death (MCCD) is considered as an important document.
Once the civil registrar has obtained it, he authorizes the burial and indicates the new civil status of the deceased.
This certificate also allows the beneficiaries to benefit from their rights (heritage, settlement of positions with banks and insurance companies and benefits granted by s ocial funds).
Indeed, the deliverance of the MCCD is mandatory.
It is required to have this certificate in an official form, conforming to the international model of the death certificate.
The deliverance of MCCD is one of the daily practices for all physicians.
This deliverance does not pose any problems in case of natural death.
In other cases, it becomes the most difficult task for many doctors.
As a result, we propose to recall how to write a medical certificate of death and how to overcome the problems to guarantee the rights of the deceased and his family and to exclude any form of medical liability.

Le certificat médical de décès (CMD) est un document important.
Une fois que l'officier de l'état civil l'a obtenu, il autorise l'inhumation et indique le nouvel état civil du défunt.
Ce certificat permet également aux ayant-droits de bénéficier de leurs droits (héritage, règlement de positions avec des banques et des compagnies d'assurance, et avantages octroyés par les fonds sociaux).
En effet, la délivrance du CMD est obligatoire.
Il doit être rédigé selon un formulaire officiel, conforme au modèle international du CMD.
La délivrance d’un CMD est l’une des pratiques quotidiennes pour tous les médecins .Cette délivrance ne pose pas de problèmes en cas de mort naturelle.
Dans d’autres cas, elle devient la tâche la plus difficile pour de nombreux médecins.
De ce fait, nous nous proposons de rappeler comment rédiger un CMD.et comment surmonter les problèmes afin de garantir les droits du défunt et de sa famille et exclure toute forme de mise en jeu de la responsabilité du médecin.
